Cadence terms of use

Last updated 20 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Cadence Training, operated by Jimmy Photirath, a sole trader in Australia ("Cadence"). By creating an account or using Cadence, you agree to them. Please read them with the privacy policy, which says what data Cadence collects and how it's handled. Questions: support@cadencetraining.app.

What Cadence is

Cadence is an AI training coach. It reads health data from your phone (with your permission) and what you tell it, and uses AI to write daily recommendations, training programs and adjustments, food estimates, chat replies and weekly reviews.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over. An account is for one person, to coach their own training. Don't share it, and don't use it to coach anyone else, such as a client or a child.

Not medical advice

Cadence is a training coach, not a doctor, physiotherapist, dietitian or psychologist. It doesn't diagnose, treat or rehabilitate anything, and it doesn't read your heart rate, HRV, sleep, weight or cycle data for signs of a medical condition, or tell you a reading is healthy. Nothing in Cadence is medical advice.

Check with a doctor before you start, or before you train harder than you're used to, if you have a heart condition or another medical condition, take medication that affects exercise, are pregnant or have recently given birth, or haven't trained in a long time.

When to stop and see a professional

Stop training and get help, rather than asking Cadence, if you have:

If you mention one of these, Cadence will tell you to get it seen and won't plan training it affects until you have. But Cadence only knows what you tell it. It doesn't watch your data for medical problems, so don't rely on it to notice one. When a doctor, physio or dietitian has given you a plan or limits, tell Cadence; it will coach inside them, and their advice comes first.

AI coaching can be wrong

Cadence's coaching is written by AI from your data and what you tell it. It can be wrong or incomplete, can misread your situation, and can suggest something that doesn't suit you. The health data your phone and devices provide can also be missing or inaccurate. Food estimates (calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre) are approximate: don't use them for anything where precision matters medically, such as insulin dosing.

You decide what you actually do. Treat Cadence's suggestions as suggestions, use your own judgement, listen to your body, and ease off, skip or change a session whenever something doesn't feel right. You're responsible for your own training and eating decisions.

Your account

Give accurate details when you set up, and keep them current, since Cadence coaches from them. You sign in with codes sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. You're responsible for what happens on your Cadence account; if you think someone else has got into it, email support@cadencetraining.app.

What you can't do

Your content

What you put into Cadence (check-ins, messages, food logs, health data and so on) stays yours. You let Cadence store and process it, including sending it to the service providers listed in the privacy policy, only to run Cadence for you. The coaching Cadence writes for you is yours to use for your own training. The Cadence app, name and everything else about the service belong to Cadence.

When you share a meal with "Send this meal", anyone with the link can see that meal's food items until the link expires. Only share it with people you mean to.

The service

Cadence is in testing and free to use. It's still being built: features will change, be added or be removed, and there may be bugs, outages or mistakes in what it shows you.

If Cadence starts charging, you'll be told in the app at least 30 days beforehand, and you won't be charged unless you choose a paid plan. If Cadence closes, you'll be told at least 30 days beforehand, and you can ask for a copy of your data before it's deleted.

Your use of the app stores and of Apple Health or Health Connect is also governed by Apple's or Google's terms.

Ending your account

You can stop using Cadence and delete your account at any time, in the app (Profile → Account → Delete account) or by email, as described in Deleting your account.

Cadence may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or if that's needed to protect you, other people or the service. Where it's reasonable and lawful to, you'll be told why first and given a chance to respond.

Your consumer rights and Cadence's liability

You may have rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees, that can't be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights, or any other liability that the law doesn't allow to be excluded.

Apart from those rights, and only as far as the law allows:

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes go to the courts of New South Wales and the courts that can hear appeals from them. If you live elsewhere, this doesn't take away consumer protections your local law gives you. If you have a problem, please email support@cadencetraining.app first so it can be sorted out directly.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, Cadence will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you don't agree with the new terms, you can delete your account; continuing to use Cadence after they take effect means you accept them. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
